Thank you for putting out the Self Clearing Handbook. It has made a difference in my life to no small degree. I am not a follower of LRH's tech, but I have done the Dianetics Auditor Course in London about 9 years ago and found it interesting. My purpose of writing to you is to find out the background as to how you went about in putting out the Self Clearing Handbook onto the internet without being harrassed or sued for infringement of copyright. I plan to do a similar one on a spinoff teaching known as Avatar created by a squirel of Scientology known as Harry Palmer formerly of the Elmira Center. Your advice needed. I am a former SO member and like so many others I've been off lines for many years. I've been unable to bring myself to deal with the CoS but I've wished there was another way to get auditing and training. Now that I've discovered the FZA and in particular, your web site, I have renewed hope! Your analysis, at least what I've read so far, seems so spot on that I've actually felt lighter. The great 'fear of being declared' seems to have lost most of its power. I certainly hope that a reform church can be established! I am filled with an excitement I hadn't felt since my early days of exploring Ron's work and I look forward to reading all of your work and your continuing research into OT. Thank You!

I wonder if it's possible to establish an organization based on the Scientology technology using possibly your (The Pilot) books and materials? Copyright infringements would be a major issue but I would love to see a 'real' Scientology org run with clearing the planet and actually helping people in mind. Prices would be based on a standard business model with a profit being necessary (though it would be a non-profit org) for solid expansion but prices that are fair and possibly a competetive environment between orgs.... any thoughts on this from anyone? Please email me with thoughts or comments as i am seriously considering setting something up. Thanks for any input.

I was able to get a free email address from Hot Mail (my daughter told me about it) because I wanted to be able to "see" more of the world. I am currently working my way through the Self-Clearing Book. I have a good knowledge of book one auditing, and TR's from the CofS courses and books, and I am currently on Chapter 2 of the Self-Clearing book. I am working through it slowly and surely, but I am already having wins. It was a lot of trouble to get things done at the CofS because I don't have much time to spare, but I can do this whenever I want and move at my own pace, not the registrar's. Price. That is the problem. I realize there are plenty of outpoints but this is the key to actually helping to clear the planet which is still the real purpose right? Anyways, if you or anyone would like to work on a plan to somehow convince the orgs that lowering their prices would actually help them make more money, maybe the orgs can actually accomplish their goal. I am not against the C of S. I believe it has problems but with a few key adjustments that are actually doable maybe the whole planet can benefit. Instead of working outside the org maybe it is possible to get them to change on this particular point at least to some degree? Any comments or suggestions would be great.

When I start read and do it, I was so surprised, so began translate it immediately. Now I have 40 translated and went through chapters. I left LAO staff in 1972. I never looked back until I found the net in 1992. Since then, we have seen their 'Truth' revealed on the net (their Vietnam, that is). Dear "Pilot", Thanks for what you are doing. I understand why you have to remain anonymous. I too love the tech but I think the C of S is being run by SPs. (I originally connected to Scn. as I felt here was the tech to really help mankind.......). I also think the HASI should be re-instated. (There is no LRH Policy on IAS that I have been shown, yet somehow IAS Management has the power to bypass every org, (on its public, dissemination, legal matters etc. etc.)) Bypassing brings about a Danger Condition right?). In MHO the activities of the IAS are driving Scn. into danger. There is also a section of policy entitled "Solve it with Scientology" that discourages "fund raising". (Sorry I do not have the policy on me right now!). I can check it out and post the title some other time if needed - but you may know the one! Also the LRH reference "What your Donations Buy" explain that everything really should be funded through SERVICE donations, including legal matters. Have you read the posting of Jon Randall McDonald (via Veritas?). I think this is a useful reference for Scns. who still care about the tech and state of the C of S. I have been wondering for years why I seem to be the only Scn. asking why there are no HCOPLs (or other LRH references) on the IAS........ I mean aren't we supposed to be applying KSW and making sure that our actions are "on-source"?????? Since 1984 we have all been in agreement (to greater or lesser degree) to a total off-source "solution" and administrative "artibrary". So what's happening here??? King regards to you! Hermit PS I'm interested (as I think you have expressed) in a loosely co-ordinated group of free "OT" beings working together through mutual understanding. On a personal level, over the last 4-5 years in the C of S, I've started to get the consideration that I cannot operate in this group as an "OT" (I'm not officially OT anything you understand, but "OT" as in "you're as OT as you want to be" etc. etc.) or as a free being or (on another huge subject) as an artist. I've just noticed a gradual erosion of the actual theta and understanding and things getting a lot more dictatorial (mandatory events and mandatory "Auditor revitalisation" etc. etc.). And most of the terminals I though well of are either disappearing or appear to be having a bit of a hard time (not being robots you understand!). I never imagined I would have to express something like this about the state of Scn. Also, as my duty, I will raise all the above matters with RTC and ED Int (though I am rather apathetic about getting any sane response).... Reform is definitely needed, it's got to the point where it's difficult for me to carry on with services (training) as a matter of integrity.....but I agree with your advice for people to get well trained as auditors.........

Keep up the good work on Scn reform! Perhaps mailing Scn data to 20/20 may help, especially about how the escalation of prices of books, etc. have occurred over the years. The Evolution of a Science, for instance, once sold for about $1.25 as a small booklet, now in paperback it is over $25. Hit them where they live - inflation only occurs in Scn, not in the real world. Again, question if Scn is a religion or just Big Business, inviting the IRS to investigate again. I've been on their mailing list with 3 different names; Don, Dan and Dr. and requesting them to remove my name from their mailing list hasn't been accomplished yet. My postman (Craig) says that he became interested in Scn 20 years ago and after a few months, discovered how costly it could be, tried to get out. He said the mailings to him increased and went on for 10 years against his objections, until finally, he got a post office stamp and waited for the next mailing stating: Forwarding Address Requested - which would keep him current on their mailing list. He stamped the mailing: Moved, No Forwarding Address Available, and they eventually stopped mailing him information. Now, perhaps something like this could be done, if one asks his postman to stamp such mailings for him, causing large drops in their mailing lists, if used by many ex-Scientologists. It may scare them a little, and give a better picture OF Scn to the Post Office, the IRS, ETC.

I have three things that I wanted to mention, I hope you take the time to hear them all. HCO PL 14 feb 1965 Entitled Safeguarding Technology , the definitive PL on Squirreling, from which the definition is derived, states"Anyone is certainly entitled to have opinions and ideas and cognitions-so long as these do not bar the road out for self and others." This is tech. It may be regarded as "unimportant "tech by some, but is tech. There is PLENTY of tech that supports new ideas. Most of it centers around not altering the standard bridge while permitting freedom to grow in knowledge and application. I have noticed in the free orgs an assumption (Probably derived from accepting verbal "policy" and verbal altered importances as accompaniements to tech referances) that to have new ideas is forbidden by the tech itself. I have not found a referance, which if read completely, forbids new ideas. Most referances are for protection of the existing bridge( I made the analogy that you can build airplanes, just don't destroy the bridges) and toward prohibitting pulling people offlines to pursue a questionable bridge. There are plenty of people out there. They will seek out what works, while making a few mistakes along the way. Standard Scientology works. Even KSW says"The only thing you can be upbraided for by students or PCs is "no results." Trouble spots occur only where there are "no results."Attacks from governments or MONOPOLIES occur only when there are "no results" or "bad results." it goes on to say "There remains, of course group tabulation or coordination of what has been done, which will be valuable-ONLY SO LONG AS IT DOES NOT SEEK TO ALTER BASIC PRINCIPLES AND SUCCESSFUL APPLICATION." The other thing is that I wanted to address is a bit of insight into the misuse of The Conditions. I have read posts which note changes in the orgs around the time that the conditions were introduced. This could be due to verbal interpretations and MU's. A condition is an Operating state ("Operate "implys "DO") Statistics should therefore be "do"oriented. Correct sequence is be, do, have. All of these things have statistics. (For "be" you have the tone scale, chart of attitudes, case gain. For "do" you have delivery.) GI is a statistic that depends on a lot of "be"'s and a lot of "do"'s.A person can have more than one beingness or doingness and so could be in differant conditions for each. If I am a ditch digger and I Eat 1 hamburger and dig 500 miles of ditch, that would be a good statistic. If I eat 500 hamburgers and dig three feet of ditch, my statistic is not 500 hamburgers. When verbal tech or misunderstandings with past technologies enter into the conditions, they could be used suppressively. An example: The Doubt formula says Examine the statistics of the group, project or org. One of the primary things you are examining in the statistics are the intentions of the org. You say "6 million dead jews", Lots of money." These statistics give me an indication of the groups intentions. The Doubt formula DOES NOT say: "OK, NOW SIDE WITH THE "WINNING" SIDE" It does NOT say that! That is an assumed. That is the way that cowards operate. The men who ran the Underground Railroads to free slaves didn't operate that way. Side with the winning side is an aberation. It is the "side with the tyrant, never with the peasant" philosophy. It bypasses the "greatest good" step of the formula. Greatest good for greatest dynamics ALWAYS begins with TRUE Principles. That is your be. If you break true principles, you have already lost the game. An outstanding example of a Doubt formula properly executed is the Declaration of Independance. If youve read it a million times, you must read it again for it's brilliance. It was not a side with the "winning" side, it was an analisis of intention(by looking at statistics) and an understanding that the greatest good is always best served by a foundation of true survival principles.) The differance is that in Scientology the principles are already laid out. Don't revolute, evolute. We have a right to get delivery stats up. We have an obligation to find the outpoint or outpoints if they are not. Any statistic that is IMPORTANT TO YOU, should be counted as a VALID statistic.This is your "Be". When evaluating greatest good for greatest dynamics, know that your third dynamic(which is YOUR group)includes a lot of second and first dynamics, and your fourth includes a lot of thirds, seconds and firsts etc.) Lower conditions always have negative statistics It could be lost mail, broken items, invalidated public, suppressed delivery, wasted money, etc. Not operating on post while being paid is a negative statistic, so income without proportional delivery is a negative statistic. The last thing that I wanted to mention is the importance of HCO PL11 may 1970 in handling suppression. It lists outpoints, with a couple more outpoints listed, which I will list here. Altered importance Ommitted fact altered sequence dropped time added falsehood wrong target wrong source (this one is often "re-defined." An example would be verbal interpretations of policy within the church, as in someone verbally stating or implying "any tech which grants freedom is unimportant")

a wee question:
I've recently started reading ACT and ARS and I've seen Self Analysis recommended there, not to mention the Pilot mentioning it. Apparently it's something to try. To me, mixing practices is doing two types of processing at the same time. e.g. org auditing during the day and then maybe something else during your sparetime. The question is, can one do Self Analysis whilst doing the Self Clear Handbook? To me they seem similar.

The postings and Super Scio opened a new universe for me and all the other people I put on to it and self clearing.The light pass technique is extremly workable. When I read Super Scio I was doing Captn Bill Robertsons Excalibur an expanded version of nots.The Pilots story of how he overan it enabled me to sort out my case after I did the same, at the insistence of the C/S who said do more when it was finished.

I have been working with Self Clearing for about six months now. The gains have been terrific (life-changing, for the better). Let me reply to your ten questions: 1. I had a little exposure to CofS processing (mediocre auditing) and I completed a communications course in the late sixties. I have also practiced yoga and a few other systems. I am rather familiar with metaphysical thought. 2. I am half-way through the book. 3. Yes. 4. My biggest win was probably on 22.3 (Handling an upset). Before using this ARCX tech, I felt almost helpless in handling this sort of problem. The relief is enormous. But I have had big wins on every chapter that handles the Expanded Grades. I run them over and over again to bigger and deeper wins. 5. I have had no big difficulties. 6. The sequence is just fine. 7. There is nothing I don't understand in the book, and nothing I really disagree with. There is high ARC between us. 8. The most enlightening point about the whole book for me is the validation of solo-auditing. I have always been a tech lover, but felt I could not run the grades on myself. 9. I am definitely having fun. Frequently, I fly ruds per Chapter 27. This alone has changed my life dramatically. 10. The Self-Clearing book is great as is. When I get the time, I would like to embody the book in a computer program that would bring up a notepad for responses to the questions, as well as provide cross-references to the descriptions and helpful hints regarding each Chapter, as well as cross-references to the scales and other parts of the tech found elsewhere on the net. With your permission, of course.

I just wanted to let you know that I have had good results with using the Self-Clearing book. Thanks for putting it out! And to Daffy-Duck, in previous guest book entry, I don't think the general public has to worry about OSA. OSA is concerned with the big dogs--- like the Pilot, Bob Minton, people who post/distribute confidential copyrighted data, bad articles in Time magazine, etc. A COS member who uses this 'squirrel' tech and is found out --would be corrected in Ethics, false data stripped, etc. And the general 'minor' critic-- is kind of ignored-- because OSA does have limited resources.

I have come up with a good way to express what appears to be happening within the Church of Scientology. It is expressed as a triangle, the DDD Triangle. This triangle works like the ARC (Affinity, Reality and Communication) and KRC (Knowledge, Responsibility, and Control) triangles in that all the parts are interrelated and you cant increase or decrease any one side without also increasing or decreasing the other two sides. The sides of the DDD triangle stand for DECEPTION/ DISCREDIT/ and DISCOURAGE. The DECEPTION applies to those persons currently in and on lines of a Scientology Organization/Church... probably have had personal CASE GAIN, knows it works, and wants to see Scientology continued and expanded to help others... The DISCREDIT applies to those who may have read an L. Ron Hubbard Book, and have a personal interest in finding out more about Scientology. They are actually having some contact with the Church. They are actually REACHING for it...maybe a Div VI person... The DISCOURAGE also applies to those just mentioned but mainly applies to everyone else, the public at large or the non-scientologists, who are very happy to be a non-scientologist for whatever reason, or have no interest in the subject whatsoever. No Reach, no interest, thank you, not now, probably NOT EVER. For example number 1: DECEPTION: The Sea Org is working to get in ethics to get in tech to "Clear the planet" this actually... DISCREDITS: The Sea Org is made to operate as a suppressive group functioning as an odd sort of "Navy" of some type? Confusing the public or instilling FEAR and ARC BREAKS people already on lines. Makes Scientology strange and odd AND ESPECIALLY CULT LIKE! Which has the further effect...to: DISCOURAGE: Discourages general public participation. Because "they knew all along, that Scientology is just a cult." ANYONE with any level of I.Q. can clearly see that So they don't "give a damn" whether or not Scientology continues to exist or not...tear it down? Close up shop? "That's fine with me...." Example number 2: DECEPTION: Scientology services and products are so expensive because we have to survive as a group, maintain buildings, etc. , operate within society. AND PAY FOR PROMOTIONAL ACTIVITIES. Because we are trying to "Clear the Planet"... DISCREDIT: This ARC BREAKS the public, makes Scientology unobtainable without great personal sacrifice. "How am I going to pay for this?" and "Keep this crazy study schedule?" Creates a very real Present Time Problem. DISCOURAGE: Clearly Discourages the public at large and makes it very clear that Scientology IS some sort of racket or business money making activity, deceiving people and taking advantage of them...again, ANYONE can easily see that...Scientology is just a ëracket'...Government clobbers it? Great! Bad press and news stories? What did they expect! Example Number 3: DECEPTION: The "Office of Special Affairs" OSA, i.e. the "International Association of Scientologists" which actually funds their ëoperations' is active confronting those SP's out there preventing us from expanding as a group. OSA is handling those nasty PSYCHIATRISTS so we have a safe area to live and work in... DISCREDIT: Ok, to DO that OSA is run like some sort of mad intelligence agency, doing investigations, discrediting those former Scientologists ësquirrels' well, carrying on like an out of control FBI or CIA - Or, EXACTLY AS THE "Apparatus" is described in LRH's "MISSION EARTH"! This also: ARC BREAKS the public at large, makes Sci seem strange and odd especially CULT LIKE! But worst than that ACTUALLY DANGEROUS... DISCOURAGE: Discourages general public participation. Because they are now appearing to be ACTUALLY DANGEROUS! YIKES! They are very bad...please, do something to stop them... You see how simple this triangle is? You increase the DECEPTION which will increasingly DISCREDITS and increasingly DISCOURAGE. Scientology then is effectively SUPPRESSED or if there is such a thing maybe underneath the ëtriangle' the fourth side on the bottom the fourth "D" DESTRUCTION! I am sure you can easily think of other examples...Maybe others could add to this collection: Please do! I believe the REFORM promoted here will have to address these areas, we must DECREASE THE DDD TRIANGLE AND THEN WE WILL HAVE A CHURCH WE CAN BE PROUD OF AND SUPPORT... I think this is such an instance where the quote you pulled is a spike at earlier attempts in history to "save the world". I'm not sure which one he means, but it could be anything from the Inquisition to the Crusades. Or any other major event that didn't quite achieve it's goal. It was pretty hard for me to swallow this at first too and it took much thinking and evaluating on my part to accept even the possibility of this. An orthodox church member who might otherwise agree with you (Pilot) on what's wrong with CofS, would probably decide that you are a squirrel or SP after reading the part on standard tech and Ron's mistaken ideas. It's a matter of gradient, I suppose.
