Admissions OPERATING THETA COMMUNICATIONS OFFICE OTCO POLICY LETTER OF 28 May 2000 All hats Broad Public Issue As we are getting more requests for list admission, this PL will establish guidelines and procedures for a persons entrance. Per charter, any being may petition to join the list. They do not have to be recommended by another list member. However, as part of the purpose of the list is to protect the identity of Revenius, and enable a safe space for him to post, the list must have some security measures in place. As people may post private details of their life here as case notes, this confidentiality is also of extreme importance. Postings here should be afforded the same confidentiality of a person pc folders. The best recommendation for a new member is personal knowledge of that person by a list member. In the absence of that, personal knowledge of the good intentions, trustworthiness and products of that person shall have to suffice. Not all persons will come to the list with a personal recommendation. Indeed, the list is no Ivory Tower where only the elite reside. We exist to further the reach and abilities of our fellow beings. Policy is interpreted towards expansion. Any policy could be considered good that enhances that expansion. Expansion means to absorb from the environment around us, and align the absorption toward furthering the purpose. Any time this is done, an organization will become enturbulated to a degree, as it is taking on new mest, and life. This policy letter is directed at smoothing that enturbulation to some degree by outlining the procedures and standards of accepting new members. If a member petitions to join the group, they are to be forwarded a list containing the list charter, along with basic policies covering the communications and ethics of the group. Upon review of this information, they are then to submit a non-E formula to the list owner stating their intentions and qualifications. In other words, a csw for entrance. This statement of purpose will then be forwarded to the group, where a motion can be made, seconded, and voted upon by the members. If approved, they will be accepted. If disapproved, full details for reason of disapproval shall be forwarded to the applicant, for their consideration and handling. Nothing in this policy letter should be used to stop or harm the spiritual progress of any being. However, some may apply for status, personal aggrandizement, or even seek to harm. This policy is directed at keeping the door open as wide as possible to those who seek or offer help, and correctly handling those who do not.
