Just Another Fly In The Ointment Author: misiunas, Posted: Thu 19 Sep 2002 9:32 am Subject: Just Another Fly In The Ointment Here's a rundown of the latest changes on FZA.ORG: Statistics I've revised the Forum/Archive Statistics pages to allow full access to the entire log. Right now, detail logs are keep for a 7 day period. After that cutoff date, the records are summarized and added to the 'Summary' portion of the stats. Document Research Searching for documents, up until this point, has been rudimentary and difficult. To change that, I revised the search routine to alow for keyword searches. This new search routine is based upon the routine used for this Forum, so if you are at all familiar with that one, you shouldn't have a problem with the Documents one. Searches such as 'birds AND fish NOT dogs' can now be made. Also, use the * as a 'wildcard' at the end of a keyword to search for words beginning with the specified letters. (ex: 'stude*' to search for 'student, students, studebaker', etc.) For some advanced search features click the 'adv' link next to the "Search" button. Keyword highlighting in the retrieved document works much better now. No highlighting is made for 'wildcard' keywords. If you have any problems with new the search routine, please let me know. I've slowly been adding more Documents to the mix, so if your search doesn't turn anything up, try again at a later point.
