Cognitions

Subject: Cognitions

Once upon a time there lived an excuse for a reason to live, and it's name came to be called 'cognition'.

Cognitions are a wonderful byproduct of spiritual development. Their function is to provide feedback as a result of a self-reorganization process. That process could be anything at all, but it's goal is almost always a 'cognition'.

That's not a bad thing.

But when the goal becomes the 'cognition' itself, then you can be assurred that quality assurance has taken a back seat and is looking on helplessly, and powerless to do anything about it.

Cognitions are not the goal of spiritual development. Spiritual development is. Actually, once the goal is overcome, then everything else is as well. icon_smile.gif

On the road to self-awareness, don't forget to forget about cognitions. This is not to say that cognitions should be invalidated, quite the contrary. What must be accomplished when it comes to cognitions, is to never look forward to gaining more.

Believe me, you don't need them to be self-aware. After all, who is it that is giving them to you? icon_smile.gif

Cognitions are not the goal of spiritual development.

From Mike:

Indeed. The auditor is not auditing to make the pc have a cognition.

A case is fixed ideas trapped in force.

The pc always dives for the significance and avoids the force.

The auditor has a different target - he gets the pc to handle the force. When the force is handled, the fixed ideas trapped in that force release in the form of cognitions. Cognitions are a by-product of handling the force, they occur naturally and no one has to attempt to make them happen.

Auditing has the goal of making a Being senior to force.

The first objective is to remove the force (TA action shows force blowing).

The second objective is to get the Being senior to force. He can operate at Cause in the presence of force, as opposed to getting rid of it.

This all aligns with what I said is wrong with the Pilot telling people to solo audit the Scientology grades. It takes two terminals to discharge the force, especially that low on the Bridge. So, he is sabotaging case gain - because the amount of TA obtained from attempting to self audit (under the guise of solo auditing) the grades is about zero.

I have seen "success stories" from a couple of his followers and all they talk about is what cognitions they had. They offer these up as proof of the validity of doing the Pilot's squirrel ideas about auditing. See - they do not know what an auditor is, really. They are diving for the significance and they falsely believe cognitions show they got somewhere with their case.

Well, those significances are about as valuable as hen crap on a pump handle, because the force that makes them aberrated is still not handled. It's a betrayal of Beings under the pretense of helping them.

What they should be talking about is how much TA action they got in a session. That is what shows case gain - not cognitions.
