On-Topic Discussion

Greetings all.

Just as a friendly reminder, I'll be keeping topics on topic. One of the benefits of doing that is this, for example. 'A' creates a topic talking about meters. Discussion ensues. 'B' comes along and decides to talk about rubber boots. Others join in with the latest rubber boot fashion news. 'A', on the other hand, is still interested in meters and so A's cycle never gets completed.

The best way to see if your message is appropriate to the topic being discussed is to simply notice the subject of the topic. If it says 'meters', then try to keep your messages along those lines. If, as in the example above, you really want to talk about rubber boots, then create a new topic called 'Rubber Boots'. You will then receive the same on-topic moderation as the topic 'meters'.

It's a case where everyone gets to have their communication actions completed without outside interference. I like that.
