Two questions Author: Emile Posted: 2002-01-05 02:20 I have two disrelated questions, perhaps someone could answer them for me. 1st question: In the 'memberlist' section of the table of contents above there are columns headed: E-mail/URL/ICQ/AIM/YIM/MSN What do these mean? What is an URL? etc. 2nd question: (And I'm not stirring shit, I just want to know) I'm quite happy with the fact that some people are in direct telepathic communication with LRH. There's nothing unacceptable about that in terms of Scientology. But how does an outsider qual the data provided? Supposing you have two people, both equally credible and both in telepathic communication with the old man, and they relay different stories. How is an outsider who is not in telepathic comm with him (like me) decide which is valid and which not? Sure, use my own knowingness, but that begs the question. I think URL means like a address, like you enter in your internet explorer to go to a website. ICQ is an online chatting program, to which users have handles and can find each other and chat, or know when the other handles they are interested in come on line, that sort of thing. I don't know what YIM and MSN are. AIM is AOL Instant Messenger, similar to ICQ. 2nd question: (And I'm not stirring shit, I just want to know) I'm quite happy with the fact that some people are in direct telepathic communication with LRH. Get up the bridge to where you can become proficient at sorting out other beings thoughts, projections etc. Or, in the interim, use ethics/Reason, they are quite effective tools. I personally LOVE those tools the implanters "love to hate". Virginia Author: Emile Posted: 2002-01-06 01:09 Thanks for that. It seems a fair reply. I'd be pleased to hear from Paul on the abreviations. Now one further question to you Virginia. Two lengthy posts on these and adjacent pages are supremely true and I was delighted to find them when I did. The first was Mike's article on TA action being the ONLY valid route to OT. The second was the pointed article on Pilot's works indicating that self-auditing is a total waste of time at lower levels. Both of those are correct, with no exceptions that I know of. This leaves us with the use of Pilot's 'bridge' as an audited action by an auditor on a preclear. Many of his processes should be workable if used properly. (Not all though. There are some which Pilot has really screwed up - I don't have a list of them but I recall one based on ARC S/W which he really mangled up horribly.) By 'used properly' I'm referring to the 3 aspects of case handling per C/S Series: Programming, C/Sing and Auditing. With all of those in I see no reason why the techniques and sequences he gives should not be used. If they produce TA action (and therefor case-gain) then they are valid. There is absolutely nothing stopping a C/S from writing/creating a process specifically designed to handle a condition in a particular preclear, provided of course that he parallels the bank in the correct way. This was normal and common practice in the 60's; even the original LRH trained Class 8 auditors routinely did this. SOP. So Pilot is on firm ground with much of what he has written. Further, as far as solo auditing Pilot's stuff is concerned. Here the auditor's own knowingness should come into play. I have found that some of his stuff worked excellently with huge TA blowdowns, other stuff is total Greek to me. Whether this is due to my lack of confront or is simply not part of my case is beside the point. It doesn't indicate so I turf it out. Other stuff does indicate and I have a good time with it. I solo L&N'd his Serf Fac questions; they are superb and I got spot-on items on these with huge change in case. Other solo auditor's should do the same. You said on another thread (quite correctly) that just because the Marcabians were/are playing a bad game does not mean they should be condemned for ever. Communication is the first step towards salvaging them. The same courtesy should be extended to Ken. Even though he has made some fundamental mistakes he is yet a brave man and a friend to all of us. Your views on this please. Author: misiunas Posted: 2002-01-07 18:51 Virginia said: >>I don't know what YIM and MSN are. You did great in answering, Virginia. YIM is Yahoo's version of ICQ. Same for Microsoft's MSN. Author: Emile Posted: 2002-01-09 00:35 Thanks for clearing up the abbreviations both of you. Now all I have to do is clear up the meanings of what you said means. (joke) |
