In the past, my presence on this DB has been sporadic and inconsistent.
This has now changed, (I will be less consistently inconsistent, and more sporadically sporadic) and you can expect to see me here at least three times per day. Why? Because I finally own my own computer, and have a schedule that is SANE. (I even have a Cable Modem now, and can download the Pilot's books lickety split! Yay!)

Ed, I took the plunge and ordered a meter from Ability Meters International.
It should be here within a week (mail from England), and I will no doubt be commenting voluminously on its character and performance. I can't wait. This is the biggy for me.

Kevin,
you know I said I'd give that prosperity thingy a go well,
I never heard from walters but there was a discusion on some money drills (I think it was on act)pushing money into youself, into your body.Anyway I did something like that for 15 mins twice two nights in a row, just to see what would happen.
Well I won £10 on the lottery, this week.
Would appear I just need to work on the horse power!
I'm not out of the "we'll see" stage yet but you've got to have a hobby.

my emeter arrives today. The delivery guy tried yesterday, but I must've been napping when he got here. Talk about your irony!
I'm so excited!
More later.

It arrived. I've been trying to do the dating drill, the part where you think of a number between 1 and 10, and then try to bracket it down. Problem is, I'm solo, have noone to play with me. Boohoo. Can a person train on a meter without another trainee to practice with? How do you modify the drills?
I'm very eager to get started, now that I finally have my meter, so please respond quickly.

Just out of curiosity, did you have a plan in mind when you ordered the E-Meter? Do you have "The Book of E-Meter Drills"?
How were you intending to train yourself when you decided to buy the E-Meter?
If you don't have "The Book of E-Meter Drills", it starts off with a set of drills that familiarize you with the workings of the E-Meter followed by drills that develop your skills in adjusting the control mechanisms of the meter on the fly.
If you do have the book you can have someone that is not trained on the E-Meter read off the various commands to you for the early drills. The latter may be a different matter.
Before I continue further, I would need to know whether you have the book, so let me know and we can go from there.

I don't have the book of emeter drills, but I have the CB meter course, which looks pretty darn similar to me.
It's just a matter of getting a coach who has the certainty to get me through, with some stable data. I can't seem to get the dating drill down. Might be bad TR1, might be missing instant reads, I'll probably not know until someone shows me.

The dating drill is one of the more senior drills that is performed by a CofS academy student as it requires a lot more intention injected into TR1 than any of the other drills. Not that the others don't require good TR1, but this one will absolutely not get you any results unless you project intention to the PC or coach.
Are you doing the dating drill solo? If so, I'm curious how you might be doing that since you know the date you selected I would expect that you are "as ising" the date at which point it would lose all charge.

I have tried the dating drill on a partner, and was successful obtaining his birthday on the first try. (Never did any meter drill before). Can't pin down a number between one and ten though. Yes, I tried it solo, and had no success.
As far as my TR's go, that most likely is the issue. Got to keep working on it.
Thanks

Sorry, moving on! Off to Austria. Will still check email, but I am not certain how often I will be able to check up here.
