Great idea Kevin.

I've created a new conversation under the "Clearing" topic called "Project: Clearing Definitions".

If we get enough definitions together I will create a new section under the "Technology" section of the contents called "Clearing Dictionary". I will also format the dictionary so that looking up words will be as easy as pie.

Now all we need are some contributions. So who ever feels like adding their intrepretation of various clearing terminology, please do so.

A note to Kevin: Congratulations on your revitalization and welcome back! You have a wonderful ability to create communication and your contribution and support of this board is appreciated.

Paul

Thank you Paul.

It is my intent to revitalize scientologists to organize and create, reduce and erase charge. This purpose is there strongly in ex-staff and even in ex-IAS members (I am still a lifetime member in that group, even though declared, and they cannot communicate to me). At one point or another, all of us looked and thought we could see a bright future. This was betrayed by Int Mgmt, not by our peers, usually. But just because they are failing (and causing more harm than good) doesn't mean that well meaning Scientologists, or others who don't want to be called that, can't make the dream we have had come closer to reality. Sorry if I sound like an advertisement, it's only because I'm advertising. Come out of your shells, guys! An OT civilization doesn't exclude other practices, and, in reality, everyone who is being themselves does contribute in their own way, and will have the benefits of the coming civilization.

Off my pedestal now.

happy day

This is another announcement about the on-line dictionary.

Currently, their are definitions here of the most basic terms. I am working on inputting definitions from as many sources as I can.

This is a very large task- anyone who wants to contribute to it is welcome. Just go under the Clearing heading, find the definitions heading, click on the letter of the word you want to define, click create new conversation, or add a definition to a term which is already posted.

My postulate is that these terms will not just exist in a vacuum, to be looked up (although by itself this is a boon), but that they will one day be accessible by clicking on an unknown word in any document on this page- if the definition is in the glossary, it would popup. If not, a screen would popup asking if you wanted to input a definition or leave a query for someone else to input the definition, or simply continue. The technical aspects of this I do not currently understand, but I am sure The Pilot does, as he is a professional in the Computer Field as well as auditing. I think Paul probably has the know-how too, so we aren't without means. Its the leg-work that needs doing. So Please Please Please input definitions, and feel free to post corrections to my definitions as you feel fit to do so. I am not an expert, I am just putting down what I have to hand. It would be helpful if someone would define acronymn's, both technical and administrative, from Standard Scientology or from field groups, like Avatar, Chittering Squirrel groups, even psychoanalysis (as this is the field from which we all are advancing).

Thanks for your attention- remember, if you don't contribute to the creation of this on-line dictionary, it might not exist! (Although I will do everything in my universe to put it there.)

stay free

This is to start a discussion on how best to create the FreeZone Dictionary if something like it doesn't already exist. Let's face it, we speak a technical language that may be off-putting to the casual lurker or person who stops by to see what we are about.

I don't have the training to put together the programming it would take to make it possible to click on any word and look up its definition, or something like that. But, could there be a section of the DB which is dedicated to technical definitions? Where terms are delineated, and Paul or somebody could oversee whether a submitted definition is added?

Interested,

kgb

P.S.: If I start a mission, I want to have the learning stations be internet terminals, so that all materials are on-line or in the hard-drive, so this dictionary would be of immense value! (Remember looking through card-files at orgs for definitions of hard-to find words, pouring over Tech and Admin dictionaries- this could be a thing of the past!)
