Clearing Forum

Hi all,

Second try to post this, but I still like the new board. I was wondering how many people are subscribed to the Clearing Forum. And also why no one ever uses it. If memory serves there have been only 15 postings to this and 4 of those were duplicates of my own message. Do you feel that the BB does whatever the Forum was set up for. Will this new BB (or should it be DB?) fill that need better?

Congrats to Paul for putting up this new and improved BB and thank you to the authors of the software.

Mike

Thanks Mike. There are exactly 31 subscribers to the Clearing Forum.

I, too, have wondered about the lack of communication on the Forum. Any ideas? I keep getting people that want to sign up, but there are very, very few participants. What do you think these people are looking for?

Both the Forum and the BB were set up to encourage communication (along with all the other pages that invite interaction). My goal is to provide a place for information and communication without being the main point of interest. The FZA site is for those interested in clearing, not for those interested in finding someone to take charge of their communication.

The issues that are brought up by those that visit FZA are MUCH more interesting to me. That is why I have given a lot of time recently to creating the new DB. The Clearing Forum may be dead, but thanks to the BB regulars, there is still communication! THAT, I take pleasure in.

If the DB works out, I envision it replacing the Clearing Forum as well as the GuestBooks and comment areas. It is a good medium for interaction. Let's see if others share that view.

this sounds very good to me, as I can access the DB, but have not been able to access the Clearing Forum

that is why I didn't participate

I tried to post to a new conversation, but my effort failed (general discussion/who's who/Hubbard's Cupboards).

I'm a little confused as to how to use the DB.

It would be very helpful to create a how-to section, which seems somewhat covered already in "getting started" and "FAQ". But, do I have a User Profile? If so, what is it? If not, do I need one? If so, how do I get one? When one creates a discussion topic, does it stay grouped under the category already created? Why didn't mine stay?

Blech.

Anyway, this does look very professional, and any bugs will hopefully be ironed out soon. I wish I had some KRC for the area, so's I could help, instead of just nagging and whining.

More later-

Was that 8-08 supposed to be 8-80, or 0-8? In either case someone might arrange for that to occur if you listed your email address.

Cryptically yours,

Since I'm rather shy, I perfer this format to the Clearing Forum. I like to know who I'm talking to before I put my foot in my mouth.

I'm looking forward to getting to know the people here!

Hi,

Paul, this is a really nice DB, I just looked at and printed the CIA in Scientology. Very interesting.
But this has a nice layout and you can move quickly from one place to another.

I also would like to say HI to all the new people, welcome. I especially appreciate our new OSA Footbullet Unit, I was on the floor rolling with laughter. Thanks,
Be back soon,
Barbara

Barbara-

I am afraid that laughter will not be tolerated.

Your invitation to join the Elite OSA(tm) Footbullet Unit is now rescinded. Your condition is treason(tm), which results from "Betrayal after trust". To think I though you a loyal appliantologist.

When you get up to liability(tm), let me know. I have a Special Project (SP[tm]) for you to do.

Meantime, I suggest you incompletely acknowledge(tm) your mistake, and misduplicate(tm) it in the future, so that you can achieve a persistence. (Is there a lie in that?)

Dearest, Sir, Commamder Bare Neck,

I'm so sorry that I do not fulfill YOUR expectations but I well not and do not indend to do any more of your ridiculous conditions(TM), and in fact, never did, when assigned.

Plus, I so not know when I was invited to join. (maybe I missed a posting, oh gosh).

Signed, faintful, Southern Belle,
Barbara
